SBS triples.
Junior Men - Free Skating

More on Li and Xu?
Well, I wasn't going to say "I told you so,"I'm not insensitive to the technical side of things - but wonderful stroking, good edges, great body line are, IMO, important - and I don't overlook that for the technical. The first time I saw S&Z, I said to my friend "They will be World Champions some day" - and they had very little artistry at that time. But as I said, just watching them skate around the rink together made my heart pound. Some people have that indefinable quality. Li and Xu are very young, and there is a mismatch in size - but the fact that they handle it so well speaks volumes about them, and about their coaching. I don't know what they do in China, or if they ever do it in teaching young pairs, but sometimes in dance, talented dancers are groomed by having them dance behind someone and "mirror" them - its a kind of patterning. And I wonder if S&Z have done that with these two. There are great similarities. In any case, I have a new pair to follow and dream about - and you can tell your say that Missmary "discovered" the great potential of Li and Xu!
All kidding aside - I'm smitten.
