外号“瘦皮猴”的Frank Sinatra出生于1915年12月12日，1939年起加入爵士乐队担任主唱，1942年以个人名义单飞开始了超过半世纪之久的演艺生涯。Frank Sinatra创造了成串的畅销单曲、专辑，得奖记录亦不胜枚举，葛莱美流行男歌手或传统流行演唱奖多非他莫属，1959、1965、66三次拿下年度专辑，1966年的Strangers In The Night同时是年度最佳单曲；五十岁那年已获得葛莱美终生成就奖的殊荣。不仅歌唱方面，Frank Sinatra自1941年投身大银幕，50年代逐渐成为剧情片中要角，总计他在40至60年代参与演出电影超过五十部(不含音乐纪录片)，主演类型包括动作、战争、悬疑、文艺，1953年以《From Here To Eternity》得到奥斯卡最佳男配角。1957年已拥有自己的电视音乐节目，1961年进一步创立Reprise唱片公司(1963年之后隶属华纳)，此后自演唱、生产、行销至宣传，辛纳屈都可一手掌握。1998年5月14日Frank Sinatra因心脏病病逝，享年83岁。由于他在歌唱、电影甚至整个娱乐事业的卓越表现，Frank Sinatra因此被誉为“二十世纪最伟大的艺人”。

　　Frank Sinatra，这位集歌手、演员、电台/电视节目主持人、唱片公司老板等多重身份的全能娱乐家，受到全球乐迷拥戴及喜爱，不但有令人称羡的成就并且维持半个世纪的唱片销售长红，甚至一直到他去世后，他所灌录的唱片仍旧是市场上的畅销热卖品。

　　1935年，从未受过正统音乐训练的Frank Sinatra，以他亲切诚恳的嗓音和独特的邻家男孩气质，获得了电台演唱机会，1939年，正式加盟Columbia唱片公司，随Harry James的乐团灌录唱片，到40年代初与Tommy Dorsey的合作，更加奠定了他在爵士、流行演唱的事业基础，加上他风流倜傥的言行举止更是让他迅速朝向电视电影三栖多方发展。

　　聆听Frank Sinatra的演唱，会发现他非常注重运气、咬字、发声等技巧，这是因他深受一代黑人爵士女伶Billie Holiday的影响颇深，因此尽管听来他演唱时一副轻松怡然的神态，但这其实是包含了他多年浸淫的努力才有如此能耐，并且让他拥有"白人爵士歌王"之称的赞美及荣耀。

最近看马达加斯加也听到这首歌,感觉好熟悉

These little town blues, are melting away这一句在第二遍唱的时候好象有些不同，恳请听力好的同学指教指教[em32][em32]

另外I want to wake up in a city, that doesn't sleep. And find I'm king of the hill - top of the heap.这一段在第二遍的时候好象是这样唱的：I want to wake up in a city, that never sleeps. And find I'm a number one - top of the list, king of the hill - a number one.不知道对不对，再请听力好的同学指教指教[em32][em32]
