最近一期的IFS杂志,有一篇关于David Wilson的文章,其中有一段是关于Weir的。一位在美国的威粉给了我扫描件,我把这段文章打下来了:
Johnny Weir met Wilson for the first time last May while in Korea for the "Festa on Ice"show. The two hit it off immediately, and Weir subsequently asked Wilson to design his new programme for the Olympic season."We choreographed them together. It was a collaborative effort from the musci selections to the themes of the programmes,"Wilson said."I was excited to work with Johnny because I knew we could do something great, but the end products surpasse my wildest dreams.
"Working with johnny exceeded all of my expectations. The level of creativity that came out of that project was unbelievable.I loved every moment."
Weir's short programme has a Spanish theme but it will be a surprise,Wilson said.”The piece is by Raul DiBlasio but we called it,'I Love You,I Hate You.'It is fun and cheeky.
"When I played Johnny the music that I thought would work for his long programme,'Fallen Angel,'he was over the moon, totally in love with it,"Wilson added.'It's a very touching and heartfelt piece but at the same time strong and powerful. It was probably the biggest challenge of my season to make this music happen. But Johnny is such a nice guy,it was so easy and such a pleasure to work with him."
Weir credited music maestro Hugo Chouinard for helping make it all happen."David's music genius Hugo put everything together for me,"Weir told IFS."I always had only the slow part in my mind because I fell in love with it years ago.Hugo built an entire program around it and the theme."
Chouinard was equally excited about creating the music for Weir."Johnny's new free program is one of my favourite musical creations,"he said.
