(01/19/2012) - Johnny Weir, the three-time U.S. champion, two-time Olympian and 2008 world bronze medalist, announced today he will be returning to competition beginning in the 2012-13 season.Weir last took the ice in a competitive setting at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver, British Columbia, where he placed sixth. For Weir to take part in the 2013 U.S. Figure Skating Championships, he would have to either compete in the regional and sectional championships or receive a bye as a result of skating in an international event, or some combination of the two. His inclusion in the Grand Prix Series can only be as a host country selection.
Weir most recently made news when he married Victor Voronov on New Year's Eve. (Read the full story here.) He trains in New Jersey and is coached primarily by Galina Zmievskaia.

花滑美男威尔宣布下赛季复出 目标参加索契冬奥会

站上宣布将于2012-13赛季重返赛场，希望能获得参加2014年索契冬奥会的资格。

　　威尔被誉为美国花样滑冰界的“LADY GAGA”,此前曾两次参加冬奥会，分别在2010年温哥华冬奥会和2006年都灵冬奥会上排名第六和第五，他还在2008年世锦赛上获得铜牌。

　　在冬奥会后的两个赛季里，威尔一直忙于冰上表演和真人秀电视节目。一周后，2012年全美锦标赛将拉开战幕，威尔要获得冬奥会资格首先必须参加美国国内的地区性比赛以获得全美锦标赛暨冬奥会资格赛的参赛权，或者通过参加国际比赛来获得直通资格。

　　威尔目前在新泽西训练，此前他公开了自己的同性恋身份并出版了自传《我的世界欢迎您》。上月，他与同性伴侣沃洛诺夫结婚。(新体)

记得威尔以前说过如果ISU能够向着他所希望的方向发展会考虑2014复出的，但不会像普鲁申科那样拼命。现在ISU没什么变化但还是决定复出。
不追求威尔有好成绩只希望能享受他所热爱的事业。
