T/D现在都已经年过半百，但依然投身于花滑表演，我觉得他们的伟大之处在于永不停止的创新精神。在他们现在表演中依然可以感受到这一点。

1983年世界锦标赛自由舞-Barnum
这一年世锦赛前，T/D已经获得了两次世界冠军，但是他们并没有因此而满足。大胆使用了音乐剧Barnum的音乐素材，将许多马戏元素编排进了这套自由舞中。

1984年世界职业锦标赛-Song of India
此时的T/D已经贵为奥运会冠军，而这一次他们挑战了柯萨科夫的歌剧《萨特阔》，其中的这首《印度之歌》中的意境被他们演绎的惟妙惟肖。

1995年Challenge of  Champions-Bridge Over Troubled Water
这一次，T/D再一次回到了职业赛场，带着冲击第二次奥运冠军失败的遗憾他们的节目有了更多的人生感悟，《忧愁河上的金桥》仿佛就是为他们而作。Paul+Art的歌声伴着T/D的表演就是这样的打动人心。

2011年Dance On Ice-Yellow
从2006年开始，T/D再度出山，他们和英国ITV电视台打造的名人秀节目Dance on Ice空前成功，不仅在英国具有很高的收视率，也被众花滑主流国家竞相模仿。虽然两位都已年过半百，但他们每季DOI都会上演新的节目。2011年他们在沙画中的舞蹈，堪称惊艳。

有的人尽管很年轻，但心已老去；有的人青春不再，但依然充满活力。我们不知道T/D何时会离开冰面，但是我们知道他们会用自己对这样运动的爱诠释生命中的每一个瞬间。感谢T/D不仅为我们见证了不老传说，更为我们带来了如此多的美丽回忆。

2013版本的Bolero 震撼！

2013年5月，Torvill/Dean宣布将在2014年做完最后一季Dance on Ice之后退休。2014年是他们奥运会夺冠30周年，在这个时候选择离开或许具有特殊的意义。其实无论他们到那里都不会真正离开这片深爱的冰面，因为他们已经和冰面融为一体，而他们在冰面上那些美好的瞬间，将永远定格在喜爱他们的冰迷心中。感谢Torvill/Dean带给我们的伟大传奇，祝福他们。

“Dancing on Ice shock as Torvill and Dean announce plans to quit in 2014”

Dancing on Ice stars Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean have announced the shock news that they are to quit the skating show in 2014.

The skating duo, most famous for their Bolero routine at the Winter Olympics on February 14 1984, have decided to bow out while they are still “at the top of our game”.

Announcing the news on Daybreak this morning, Chris explained: “Next year’s Dancing on Ice is going to be our final Dancing on Ice.

“It’s come full circle for us. It's 30 years since we performed the Bolero on February 14 1984. It will be 30 years next year and for us it’s full circle.

“We’ve this wonderful experience with Dancing on Ice and we wanted to finish on top of our game and for the show to be on top of its game. We feel this is the right time.”

Chris added: “For me it’s six months of my life, I live in America, so it’s half of my year being away. All good things reach their finality...”

And his professional partner on the ice Jayne continued: “We have plans to do other projects, so we are exited about that.

“But I have to say the experience of Dancing on Ice has been fantastic for us. We thought we were going to retire, and then we were back and able to tour in huge arenas.”

Luckily, fans of the pair won’t need to say their goodbyes just yet, as the skating duo will be seen showing off their moves on the ice in the 2014 series, before hitting the road on their final tour.

“After the series is finished we’ll take it on its final tour... all around the UK in march time.”

He added: “This last series [of Dancing on Ice] is going to be the best so far so we want it to be a celebration.”
