As the youngest player ever to win five major championships, Taiwanese professional golfer Yani Tseng is a force to be reckoned with. Born on January 23, 1989, Tseng was ranked the top amateur athlete in Taiwan from 2004 to 2006. In her professional career, Tseng has won prestigious major championships such as the U.S. Women’s Open in 2010, and the Woman’s British Open in both 2010 and 2011. With her recent success, Tseng’s earnings have reached a cool $6.1 million, landing her in tenth place on the list of highest paid female athletes of 2013.

Agnieszka Radwańska, $6.9 Million[color=rgb(57, 92, 149) !important] Born on March 6, 1989, this Polish professional tennis player comes in at number nine of the highest paid female athletes in 2013. In 2006, Radwańska won the Women’s Tennis Association’s (WTA) Most Impressive Newcomer award and has been voted the WTA’s most popular player in both 2011 and 2012. Radwańska began her tennis career at the age of four after being introduced to the sport by her father. She turned pro in 2005, earning her enough money to land in at number nine on this list.
8. Ana Ivanovic, $7.2 Million[color=rgb(57, 92, 149) !important] As the former number one Serbian tennis player, Ana Ivanovic was inspired to play by Monica Seles, a fellow Yugoslavian tennis player. Born in Belgrade, Yugoslavia on November 6, 1987, Ivanovic currently holds the number 12 ranking by the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA). She has qualified for the WTA Tour Championships twice, once in 2007 and once in 2008, and has also won the year-end WTA Tournament of Champions twice, once in 2010 and once in 2011. Although she had struggled for a bit following her big win at the 2008 French Open, she still falls in at number eight of the top paid female athletes of 2013.
7. Kim Yuna, $9 MillionKim Yuna, born on September 5, 1990, is a South Korean figure skater. She won the championship in ladies’ singles during the 2010 Winter Olympics and has won many other titles, such as South Korean National Champion five times between 2002 and 2013. She is also a 2009 and 2013 World Champion who began training at the age of 7. Yuna credits her coaches for her skating abilities.
