"It’s great for him," Orser said. “The first week of July, he got to perform in shows in Japan that Yuzu headlined. I worked with David Wilson to create the opening and closing [numbers] of the show, and part of the deal was Nam and Javi also performed, because I didn’t want to leave them on their own."

Hanyu, the 18-year-old Japanese who placed fourth at the2013 World Figure Skating Championships, set the skating world abuzz by hitting a quad toe followed by several triple Axels — four, by Orser’s count — as an encore for one of his shows.

"It was insane," Orser said. “He is right on track and skating really well. He was invited to do [Mao Asada’s] show in Japan but had to decline."

The Japanese star’s programs — a short byJeff Buttleand free by Wilson — are set, although Orser remains mum on music.

"We’ve been working a lot on Yuzu’s transition skating skills," he said.

-Olympics season approached.

「I think that it is short when I hear it more for half a year.There are a feeling and the feeling of strain that I was excited about.I did my best for the gold medal of the Olympics since I was young.」

-How about the life in Canada?

「There is a thing to be able to taste only in that environment. It is existence of Spanish Javier Fernandez.Though I do not do it, what I tell each other stimulates it by an exercise. It really benefits oneself that I can have the good image of the jump.」

-The performance constitution of this season?

「The quad jump does not have the change in the last season but I think about the new combination jump.」

-Do you fight against Patrick Chan with Skate Canada International and Trophée Eric Bompard?

「The fight for the GP finals advance becomes severe, but it is revealed what is not enough to oneself if I fight together.」

羽生、五輪は「ロミオとジュリエット」で　フィギュアスケート

　フィギュアスケートの羽生結弦（18、ＡＮＡ）は20日、練習拠点のカナダトロントで、2013～14年の五輪シーズンのフリー曲をニノロータ作曲の映画「ロミオとジュリエット」と発表した。ショートプログラム（ＳＰ）は昨季と同じ「パリの散歩道」。

　別の作曲家の「ロミオとジュリエット」でフリーを演じ、12年世界選手権で銅メダルを獲得した。「五輪は４年間の集大成。11～12年シーズンは東日本大震災直後で、特別に印象のあるシーズンだったし、物語もつかんでいる。震災も含めた集大成にいい」と話した。

　ＳＰはしっくりする曲が見つからなかったそうで、「昨季の世界選手権でミスして、完成型を見せられなかった。点数は出ていたので、コーチと相談して決めた」。（トロント＝原真子）
