He won a broze at his first world championship in 1998 at 17, ever since, men's figure skating became he and Yagudin's world. Whether it's technique or artistry, he and Yagudin pushed men's skating to a new level. He passionately told us through the ice that competitive sport is not only a contest of power, it is more a communication of souls. After Yagudin's retirement, Plushenko is pretty much competitor-less. World champion, world junior champion, european chamion, Plushenko has conquered them all. The only thing missing is the Olympic gold. Next year's Turin Olympics is his best chance. #2 Alexei Yagudin
