Home again
Morning everyone!
I'm finally back home from a great trip to Japan, but I'm also wide awake at 3:30 in the morning, so it's a love hate relationship with the traveling :) What better time to write to you all with some updates though, right?
The inaugural World Team Trophy event was more fun than I expected it to be and it felt great to be a proud member of the winning Team USA. I have been a member of many teams over the years, haha, and I can honestly say that this was one of the nicest, most supportive groups I've ever had the pleasure of competing with. I was so impressed with the way my teammates skated and we did our best not to let them down either. It's been a little while since I've heard our national anthem from the top of the podium and it felt great!
We are back to training tomorrow, working on some things in preparation for the creation of new programs which we will begin after we take a much needed vacation at the beginning of next month.
Now, with the season being officially finished, I can shift all my focus to Vancouver. I can't wait! It would probably be best to concentrate on one step at a time (GP, Finals, Nationals...) but for now I'm just so happy that the new season is nearly upon us and that every step we take brings us closer to another Olympic experience. I've got the bug again! Bring it on.
Take care everyone and I'll talk to you soon!
xoxo-
