7/31/2007) - Olympic silver medalist ice dancer Tanith Belbin recently made her debut appearance on Detroit's Fox 2 News Morning show in a segment called "Zip Trip." In these clips, Belbin travels to and profiles out-of-the-way places in Michigan that, according to the MyFox Detroit web site, "you may have never visited before."
In her first segment, which aired July 21, Belbin profiled quaint Romeo, Mich., a town of less than 4,000 with a rich history. Next, it was off to Brighton, Mich., a suburb of Detroit that has managed to retain its small-town charm. In addition to the taped pieces, which air on Fridays, Belbin joins the news team in the studio and takes part in that morning's interviews and activities. She will continue to tape the "Zip Trip" pieces and appear in studio as long as her schedule allows.
