--------------------------ps:一个英文新闻-----------------------NBC的,不用翻译了,人人都看得懂 Queen (Yu-Na) joined by Kwan and Cohen
Olympic champion Kim Yu-Na started her own sports management company, All That Sports, in April. The company's first major event will be an ice show this July in South Korea starring who else, but Queen Yu-Na.
The South Korean press reported an impressive supporting cast that includes both Michelle Kwan and Sasha Cohen.
Kwan, Cohen, and the Queen (Yu-Na) all in one show? Too bad the show is not hitting the road after three days in South Korea.
On the competition-side - media and fans alike are speculating on whether or not Kim will compete in the upcoming season. She submitted her name to compete in the Grand Prix Series this fall as a formality, but that is no guarantee.
"I'm not saying the word ‘retirement.' I am going back to Toronto. I will keep skating. I will train as I have done for years. I will meet with my coaches to set training schedules and select programs. The decision will be made when I get ready and I'm in good form to compete," Kim told the press earlier this month at Incheon International Airport in Seoul before flying to Toronto.
Clinton and Kim correspondence
In other Yu-Na news, it appears she has a new friend in U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. When Clinton commented to South Korea's foreign minister that she enjoyed watching Kim skate to gold in Vancouver, word got back to the South Korean star. Check out the hand-written note Kim wrote to the former First Lady.
The Korea Times reported that Clinton responded to Kim. "You were absolutely extraordinary at the Vancouver Olympics," Clinton wrote. "Thank you for serving as a role model for women and girls everywhere with the passion and dedication you display for your craft, and the humility with which you believe in serving the community."
Kim's superstardom certainly continues to transcend the walls of the arena. |
