Well, Liza was born in 2001. They started dating 98/99(??), I *think*. They met each other at SOI and did some programs together (including the memorable Bolero) and fell in love I guess.

It's been rumored that Kulik left SOI partly because of this, though others say it's simply because SOI couldn't afford two men's Olympic Champions (Yagudin & Kulik) and they took Alexei over him.

I understand your shock... I was even more shocked when I first heard about this. Can't believe Liza's 4 and a half now... older than Daria when Sergei died
