OK, here we go. It is not just smile that makes good presentation. Zhang Dan did smile very sweetly in several competition. It is the drama and tension that she needs to add to her performance. It seems that many of her movement have no meaning in it. I don't understand their LP this year at all and I don't like it. Zhang Hao is much better, at least you can see his passion. Dance lesson alone is not enough. The need to have some training in performance art, like drama, enrich her facial expression. Also, enhance the understanding of the music, knowing what feeling they want to express. Zhan Dan is very lovely and has a very good figure (body shape). She just needs to get rid of the juniorish presentation, add more charisma to the program. Single skaters can win with girlish sweetness, like Tara did. But IMO, for pairs, the judges prefer more matured images and presentation.
