yuna英文采访:It was the first practice in this rink in Russia. At the beginning of the practice, I felt a bit nervous because of the ice, it felt different, very softer. But after 10 or 20 minutes I felt very good, my jumps are not~that~bad (she says this in a very cute way because she's trying to be modest). My short program went really well today. So I was happy with my practice today.
I've been skating very well at home. I've done a lot of clean programs. and I hope to do the same here, and try not to get too nervous.

Yuna's back
The reigning Olympic champion started slowly, but quickly proved to us she is back in top form. Despite opening up on a few early attempts at each jump, by the time her music came on towards the end of the session she was back to the Yuna we remember. She hit a triple Lutz-triple toe, triple flip, and double Axel in her new short program to Giselle.
Kim said afterwards she was a bit nervous and had to get used to the ice, but not that she has (as evidenced by her triple-triples), she will be tough to beat. We have not seen triple-triple combinations like this all season...
Of note, Kim was at the rink in the afternoon (her session was at 9:30p.m.) to cheer on teammate Kwak Min-Jung. It was nice to see her supporting Kwak, clapping after successful jumps. |
