Bazarova, Larionov aim Sochi podium
Russian figure skater Yuri Larionov, who performs in a pair with Vera Bazarova, shared thoughts on the work with a new coach Nina Mozer and about main goals for the Olympic season.
“We are faced with a new system of training but the atmosphere that prevails in the group really motivates for work. We are used to be constantly alone.” he said Team-Russia 2014.
Recall that Vera Bazarova and Yuri Larionov recently joined the group of Nina Mozer, a coach of 2013 World champions Tatiana Volosozhar and Maxim Trankov.
“When we discussed coach-switching with our skating federation, we got the goal: to reach top three at the Sochi Olympics,” Larionov continued. “The most important thing for now is to gain our full sporting shape.”
“We should not think too much about that goal. It is enough just to know it and do our job. Also, we have to try to avoid technical and psychological failures.” Larionov noted.
Bazarova and Larionov will work on their new short program with Nikolai Morozov. Their free skating, most likely, will be choreographed by Igor Shpilband. |
