Sorry I can't type Chinese.
Just watched a video clip of Xu Bin Shu at 2005 nationals.

Wow, she's such a promising young skater. It is very rare to see a Chinese female skater with such beautiful spins, excellent speed and ice coverage.
Her body is still a bit stiff but her line and extension are gorgeous. She is very flexible as well.
On her jumps, however, i have some doubts. I am not an expert, and not sure whether my observation is correct. It seems to me Xu Bin Shu can do some very difficult jumps, even triple-triple combo. Her height, speed, air position and exit are all gorgeous. But she seems to have some problem with landing. In this video clip, she turned out several jumps. My feeling is that her landing technique is somewhat unique. This may explain why her landings are always a bit shaky. Just like Sasha Cohen, Xu Bin Shu does not bend her knees very much while attemping landing. If she lands it, the position is incredibly straight and beautifully done, very much like Sasha's landing. Unfortunately, landing a triple is much more difficult when you can't count on your bending knees to absorb the shock. Sasha seems to havethe same problem. Some other skaters such as Oda, Mira Leung and even Shen Xue with consistent landings all have very soft knees.
I'm afraid this will prevent Xu Bin Shu from becoming a consistent performer if it is a real problem.
Anybody has different opinion on this issue?
