Letters to the editor section: From Linda and Mike, two wonderful Yu-Na fans from Illinois (), comes a lovely letter titled "Where's Yu-Na?" In it they ask if there will be another ATS LA show this year, as they attended last year and enjoyed it, and they wanted to let Yu-Na know that there are "many U.S. fans hoping for another one." [I totally second their request! It would be an enormous help to those who live outside of California to know if there will be a show and approximately when, so we can plan a little sooner. And absolutely, there are many US fans who would love to see Yu-Na again. ]
Article on Worlds, "A Celebration in Moscow," by Klaus-Reinhold Kany. It recaps Yu-na's silver-medal performance, mentions she was nervous and includes this quote: "It was mentally difficult to prepare for these Championships. I have reached all my goals. But I wanted to show my new programs to my fans." It also mentions her donation of her prize money to the victims of the tsunami as well as her obligations to Pyeongchang preventing her from committing to the Grand Prix next season.
Article, Top 20 Juniors in the World, Page 42.
Christina Gao is listed. It mentions that she found training with Yu-Na inspiring. "When I saw Yu-Na standing on the podium, I was like, 'wow, I really want that too.'"
Article, "Grand Prix Events Get a Makeover" by Klaus-Reinhold Kany. Big beautiful photo of Yu-Na doing her spiral from "Homage to Korea" at Worlds. The article itself recaps changes to the GP for next fall, such as how seeded (top) skaters will be invited/selected for GP events later than usual, to avoid situations like last year where Yu-Na was seeded and initially assigned to China and Russia but withdrew later once she decided she needed more time to recover from the Olympics season (note that Yu-Na never officially committed to the GP in the first place, but her name had been submitted for selection before she officially withdrew).
