Evan Lysacek Goes For The Gold In 'Dancing With The Stars'
World Figure Skating Champion and Olympic gold medal winner Evan Lysacek is hard at work rehearsing with pro-partner Anna Trebunskaya for his "Dancing with the Stars" debut, and he tells ET, "I'm a big fan of the show, so it felt like the perfect step for me to take coming off of such an intense year."
"I'm a very goal oriented person, and the Olympics has been my focus for the last four to eight years," explains Evan. "When it's over, there's obviously a void, and I think I needed a challenge and I needed something that was going to continue to give me that daily structure of training in my life."

Evan Lysacek: "Never Rule Anybody Out"
Vancouver 2010, Olympic Gold medallist Evan Lysacek of course is talking about his latest gig - Dancing with the Stars!Following the footsteps of other successful Olympians Apolo Anton Ohno and Kristy Yamaguchi, Lysacek reveals that he's competitive at heart but thinks that his dancing competitors are "very strong".
Earlier speaking to ET Online, Lysacek says, "It's a very strong cast, and I've learned as a competitive athlete, that when you're in a competition you never rule anybody out." He continues, "I am definitely looking at everyone as competition at this point, but more importantly I'm wanting to have fun because I've been under so much pressure and in these intense competitions over the course of the last several years, that I just wanted to do something fun that I don't feel I have to win."
油菜O: 话说虽然您老只想have fun，偶们还素想看乃把大奖杯抱回家滴。
When asked about his intense rehearsals he reveals, "I think my mentality is already starting to change a little bit! When I'm learning and working hard I'm like, 'I want to work hard and win something!', but for now I'm just focused on enjoying it and learning." Lysacek is paired with Anna Trebunskaya on this tenth season, premiering Monday March 22nd on ABC!

Trebunskaya said: “I am so excited. He is cute – I have a cute and golden boy type of partner.”She added: “He is learning pretty quickly, but there are a lot of opposite things – like when he skates, everything is to the left, and a lot of our moves are to the right, so imagine Evan getting dizzy dancing.” |
